Privacy Policy — Brain Break Kids

Effective July 12, 2026

This policy explains how VOLASIM Limited, the developer, publisher, and data controller for Brain Break Kids (“we”), handles information when parents and children use the Brain Break Kids application (“App”). VOLASIM Limited is located at GREG TOWER, Floor 2, 7 Florinis, Nicosia 1065, Cyprus. Our company website is www.volasim.com. Contact support@volasim.com with privacy questions or use the app-specific address support@brainbreak.kids.

Who uses the App

The App is child-directed. A parent or guardian creates and controls the family account and may link a child device. Parents should use a nickname, not a child’s full legal name.

Information we collect

We do not collect child photos, camera or microphone data, contacts, precise location, payment data, or advertising identifiers. The App contains no advertising and does not use Firebase Analytics or cross-app tracking.

Why we use information

We use this information to authenticate parents, link child devices, provide learning sessions, deliver parent-configured scheduled learning interruptions, show progress, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, and protect accounts. We do not sell data or use it for advertising or child profiling.

Scheduled learning interruptions and Android special access

A parent or guardian can intentionally configure Brain Break Kids to display a full-screen learning question over other apps at selected intervals, including when the device is locked. During setup, Android separately asks the device owner to approve display-over-other-apps access, exact-alarm access, notification access, and an exemption from battery optimization. These permissions support the App’s core scheduled-learning feature; they are not used to read content from other apps. The device owner can revoke these permissions in Android settings. Without them, scheduled interruptions may be delayed or unavailable, while ordinary in-app functions remain available.

Children’s privacy

Parents control child profiles and can review or delete them in the App. The App has no child-to-child communication, advertising, public profiles, or photo uploads. A parent may stop further collection by deleting a child profile or family account.

Service providers and transfers

Google Firebase Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging, Cloud Storage, App Check, and Google Sign-In process data for us to operate and secure the App. Their processing may occur outside your country under appropriate contractual safeguards.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Firebase security rules, authenticated backend operations, App Check, and access controls limit access to family data. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.

Retention and deletion

Account and child data is kept while the account is active. Operational security logs are normally retained for up to 90 days. Parents can delete a child profile or the complete account under Privacy and account in the App. Account deletion removes the parent login, child profiles, progress, settings, bindings, push tokens, and stored files.

You can also initiate deletion at Delete your account or email support@volasim.com. We normally complete verified requests within 30 days. Limited information may be retained when required for security, fraud prevention, or legal obligations.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection and may complain to your data-protection authority. Parents may exercise these rights for their child by contacting us.

Changes

We may update this policy as the App or law changes. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required.
